Movie News Trifecta: Greatest American Hero, DBZ, Cloverfield

greatest-american-hero.jpg? A Greatest American Hero movie could start filming in July, although the script has hapless high school teacher Bill Hinkley and his incredibly unflattering superpowered, alien-made suit fighting an evil corporate guy with his own evil superpower suit given to him by evil aliens who want to evilly drain Earth’s resources and hurt the environment, which is evil. It’s directed by the guy who direct The Mighty Ducks, so…yeah.

? In an interview with TV Guide, James Marsters (of Buffy and Smallville fame) talked about his role as Piccolo in the Dragonball movie:

Dragonball is the coolest television cartoon in the last 50,000 years. Its only failing is that the female characters aren’t drawn well ? we’re going to fix that in the movie. It’s got a Shakespearean sense of good and evil and there are incredible action scenes with characters of unbelievable power. It’s going to be really visually exciting. I was told the budget is about $100 million.

Marsters does say Piccolo is bald and green, so they’re at least getting that right.

? Breaking: Paramount likes money, wants a Cloverfield sequel. Shocking!
