DVD Day: Pre-Turkey Day Edition
? A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All
I know that The Colbert Report isn’t particularly nerdy (as in, it’s more mainstream that just nerds) but I saw the special yesterday and the songs are just brilliant. Willie Nelson sings about giving weed to Baby Jesus, Feist is an angel who puts Colbert on hold, and Elvis Costello gets mauled by a bear. If you don’t buy it, definitely try to watch it.
? Hancock
I have zero interest in seeing this Will Smith-as-bad-superhero movie. Anyone who’s seen it want to try to convince me otherwise?
? Superman: Doosmday
A two-disc special edition, trying to get you to buy it again since it was originally released last year. I can’t believe they paid money to have Anne Heche voice Lois Lane. Why? Who at DC/Warner thought hiring Heche would be cost effective?
? Merlin and the War of the Dragons
I have no idea what this is, but it sounds delightfully awful.
