Can You Spot the Difference?
I know! It’s tough! But as it turns out, one is Yen Sid, the ludicrously named Sorcerer of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” as featured in the Disney masterpiece Fantasia, and one is Yen Sid as played by Nic Cage in Jerry Bruckheimer’s live-action movie of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. I know you’re stunned by the accuracy and commitment to detail of the new movie that would lead these two pics to be virtually indistinguishable, but I assure what you’re seeing is real — oh, and Cage is the one on the right, in case you couldn’t tell.
…sigh. I admit, despite my utter hatred and fear of Jerry Bruckheimer movies, I did really enjoy the first Pirates of the Carribbean movie. And I love Fantasia, so I’ll — very regretfully — be giving this a shot. But the fact that Cage is dressed exactly like Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing means I probably won’t be watching sober.
