The Other Other Battlestar Galactica Reboot
No, obviously not the Sci-Fi/Syfy TV series, and not the rumored movie from Bryan Singer. Apparently, Richard Hatch — a.k.a. Original Recipe Apollo — tried to get his own Battlestar Galactica relaunch off the ground and on the air in 1999. It was going to be subtitled The Second Coming, would’ve been a continuation of the original BSG series and would have starred him as Apoolo, natch. I don’t know how Show Me Sci-Fi found this four-minute trailer for the project, but man, it is 1999-eriffic as hell. And for you many nerds who loathe the recent BSG, this should make you cry tears of ecstasy — then tears of agony, seeing as the project went nowhere.
