The Good G.I. Joe Is Also Coming to DVD
Hey, remember G.I. Joe: Resolute? The hour-long cartoon special that proved that G.I. Joe could be updated for both fans and today’s audiences and be totally fucking awesome, and yet none of those people were allowed to work on the live-action G.I. Joe movie? Yeah. It’s finally coming to DVD, and sooner than you think — November 3rd, the same day as Rise of Cobra.
Hasbro’s giving Resolute the short end of the stick: there are almost no extras, and it’s only going to be available on DVD, and not Blu-ray (if there are plans for the latter, Hasbro isn’t saying). I have this beautiful dream of Resolute outselling Rise of Cobra, but it’s probably more likely that my ex-girlfriend and my childhood best friend will turn out to be international terrorists.
