?Attention, all Topless Roboteers living in the Los Angeles area — tomorrow, Gallery 1988 opens a new exhibit titled “Under the Influence: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.” Normally, I don’t like pimping regional events on TR, but my terrifying adoration of MOTU has outweighed my normal sensibilities (and besides, the above piece by Australian Meggs, rocks my socks off). Also, that gigantic Battle Cat piece by Robert Burden — seen painted in two minutes back in September — will be part of the exhibit. If you can’t go, 1988 has two pages where you can see a great deal of the art here and here — well worth your time, in my opinion. Of course, I have at least 50 MOTU figures visible from where I’m sitting, so I might be the tiniest bit biased. (Via Robot 6 and ToyFare)
