Dennis Hopper, 1936-2010
Dennis Hopper passed away this weekend after a long battle with prostate cancer. The man was a Hollywood icon and appeared in some of the greatest movies ever made, although we nerds will likely remember him as Deacon in Waterworld and King Koopa in the Super Mario Bros. movie. He also starred as “H. Philip Lovecraft” in some movie called Witch Hunt, which I need to watch immediately. Of all the tributes, I think WWTDD said it best — Dennis Hopper was better in Nike commercials than most other actors are during the entirety of their careers. The man was a legend before, and he’s a legend now. Rest in peace, sir.
