The Wolverine Movie Sequel Is Not a Sequel, Apparently

?Darren Aronofsky, incredibly talented director who is directing Wolverine 2 to fulfill his contract with whatever dark forces granted him his ability and success, has made two announcements regarding the upcoming movie:

? It will be titled The Wolverine.
? It is not a sequel.

Yes, despite the fact that this movie stars the same character, portrayed by the sameactor, and will be set after the events of the prior movie, The Wolverine will not be a sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Obviously, what Aronfsky means is that his movie will have no connection X-Men Origins: Wolverine other than the character, which is good, because X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a steaming pile of shit. However, I still think that The Wolverine technically qualifies as a sequel, don’t you? Even just semantically? Enh, whatever. As long as mouthless, shirtless, Baraka-pool doesn’t show up, I’m cool.
