The Deadpool Movie Has a Director, Not Much Else

?So the Deadpool movie finally has a director. It’s special effects guy Tim Miller, who’s worked on films like Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, X-Men and X2, Night of the Museum and more, but never directed a film before. I’m not saying he wouldn’t do a good job, but there’s also no reason to think that’s he’s going to knock it out of the park, at least until we see some footage or something.
Although it really doesn’t matter, because a director is pretty much all the Deadpool movie has. Oh, sure, it has writers — the Zombieland guys — but no script yet. Which means there’s no script approval. Or a budget. And other than the now super-in-demand-and-busy Ryan Reynolds saying “Gee, I’d like to,” it has no star, either. Basically, all it has is a director and some wishful thinking. Don’t hold your breath is all I’m saying. (Via /Film)
