This G.I. Joe Fan Flick Will Stay ‘Til the Fight’s Won (As Long As It Only Takes a Few Hours)

Speaking of G.I. Joe today, here’s a few thoughts on this teaser for an upcoming G.I. Joe fan film subtitled Deception:

? If that opening logo is supposed to be an apple falling from a tree, that is indeed one bad apple.
? Did Cobra relocate to Snake Mountain? Because that would be awesome.
? Clearly, do not interrupt Breaker when he’s making a phone call.
? Did Cover Girl shoot the cameraman? I think she shot the cameraman.
? I can’t decide what I like better, when Shipwreck slips and falls down the hill or when he wakes up on the boat like some kind of forest hobo.
? That honestly could be the real Sgt. Slaughter for all I know. I’d believe it if someone told me it was.
? Whoever originally designed the Baroness should get a million dollars, because it genuinely difficult to have a women dress like her and sound like her and not be dead sexy. It’s amazing.
? Admittedly, Storm Shadow doesn’t sound particularly Japanese, but neither does he appear to be wearing white slacks and sneakers.
? Major Bludd may have put on a few pounds.
? And starring Street Fighter’s Ken as Zartan!
? Dr. Mindbender without a monocle makes me sad. But Dr. Mindbender with a shirt makes me happy, so that all works out.
? I think we’ve just discovered why the real Cobra Commander never wears a leather mask. It makes him seem all gimp-y.

I kid, I kid. It’s obviously closer in spirit to G.I. Joe than the ridiculous live-action movie, although its budget might be a tiny bit smaller. Anyways, try not to be too vicious in the comments. Thanks to Black Llama for the tip.
