Mumm-Ra Gets, Well, Loose at This Year’s SDCC

?Attendees to this year’s San Diego Comic Con will have their chance to own pure collectible evil in the form of the above Mumm-Ra and Ma-Mutt figure thingies. (The official line is that they are “Staction Figures,” which makes me irrationally angry for some reason). Here’s the details courtesy of MTV Geek:

Captured as he transforms from a wretched corpse to a bloodcurling force
of terror, Mumm-Ra lunges off the screen and into your collection.
Designed with burning eyes, billowing cape and bandages, you experience
his wrath boil over with rage. The gate fold window box packaging
features a special diorama insert of Mumm-Ra’s Tomb Fortress. Measuring a
full 9″h x 11″w x 2.5″d on base, this PVC figure is available for $40
exclusively at Action Figure Xpress’ booth.

Let’s face it, ThunderCats mania is just going to keep getting more difficult to resist once the new toon debuts later this month. So you may as well just shell out the dough to buy these non-poseable figures (see, staction figure is a clever term!) of the series’ big bad and his dog. Speaking of which, does anyone else feel that naming the dog Ma-Mutt instead of the more reasonable Mutt-Ra is just another example of Mumm-Ra’s generally dickish personality?
