Ferris Bueller’s Honda-Centric Day Off
As promised, that Matthew Broerick-laden teaser from last week was not for some super-secret Ferris Bueller sequel, but a teaser for a Honda commercial. The ad was released, and it should be mandatory viewing for anyone who thought there was actually a Ferris Bueller sequel coming out, even for a second. If the Honda shilling didn’t make them regret their foolish hope, seeing a doughy Matthew Broderick joylessly go through the motions should do the trick. Somewhere, I’d like to think Alan Ruck is plowing Mia Sara while watching this commercial on TV, and thinking to himself, “Sell-out.”
