The real reveal of Diamond Select’s first wave of Battle Beasts figures won’t happen until SDCC, but that didn’t stop them from showing an unpainted prototype of this dude at C2E2 this past weekend, or Topless Roboteer Doctor Oddfellow from snapping a pic. Since Battle Beasts are pretty well anticipated, I figured I better show it — and I think it looks pretty great. Again, I think using the Minimate body will probably be for the best, especially if it allows them to reach this level of detail on all the figures. In unrelated news, I’m 99% certain that’s my pal Ryan “Agent M” Penagos of Marvel.com standing in the back-right, so hey, that’s weird.
