Your mission: We all know Sir Ridley Scott says he’s working on a sequel to Blade Runner, and as Prometheus has shown, these prequels and sequels can be a tricky business. They could be great, or they could be terrible, but usually they end up a bit of both. So your contest, should you choose to accept it: Tell me what you think the best and worst scenes of Blade Runner 2 might be.
These can be scenes, character changes or new characters, lines of dialogue, whatever. Try to keep them trim, in the 150-word range. Two entries per person, but one has to be for best, once for worst (no doubling up on one category). If you think I’ve added the “best moments” part instead of or keeping it to its usual mean-spiritedness to make the Blade Runner Blu-ray people happy, yes, you’re absolutely right. They’re giving two of $65 Blade Runner Blu-ray sets. Why would I want to piss them off?
And that’s that! Much thanks to Warner Bros. Home Video for sponsoring the contest! You guys have a good weekend, and I’ll see you on Monday. Now I need to go commit seppuku at Patrick Rothfuss’ request.
