From Pacific Rim to Bob’s Burgers, Here’s Your Thursday News Round-Up

? Badass Digest has several posts up about the just-launched viral campaign for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming monster fest, Pacific Rim. Despite the Cloverfield-esque feel of the video above, the site is quick to point out that this teaser is not reflective of how the finished film will look. So you haters of footage that is carefully crafted to look as shitty as possible can breathe a sigh of relief.
? Another day, another new S.H.I.E.L.D. agent for the ABC’s upcoming Marvel-based TV series is announced. (Via Zap 2 It)
? From Comics Alliance comes this report about how Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere is being adapted as a BBC radio series that will feature the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch and James McAvoy. The best part? This thing is being masterminded by Dirk Maggs, the bearded wunderkind who brought a variety of Douglas Adams’ works to the airwaves over the past decade. He’s also helmed radio series’ based on Batman and Spider-Man, so this project will be another nerdy feather in his cap.
? Speaking of Adams, The Verge has an in-depth video interview from 1997 with the late Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy author sharing his views on artificial lifeforms.

Now we all know what a clusterfuck the Spidey show was, but a King King song-and-dance extravaganza sounds like an equally atrocious idea. ? One of the original Batmobiles from the 1960s Batman TV series is going on sale in January. This is going to make someone who has the magical combination of riches and deep nostalgia very happy. (Via CNN)
? Apologies to any Archer or Adventure Time fans out there, but I think the best animated series on TV right now is Bob’s Burgers. Those of you who share my love for this less-popular of the two H. Jon Benjamin cartoons currently airing may be interested in the original pilot series featured above.
