Head Transplants May Be Possible Now

It won’t be quite as easy as it was for Princess Langwidere/Mombi or Worzel Gummidge, but according to at least one scientist who’s part of something called the Turin Advanced Neuromodulation Group, it has been done in monkeys since the ’70s, so now we should have the ability to do it in people as well.

There’s just one potential hitch – reconnecting the spinal cord is no picnic, so that new body of yours could be totally paralyzed. This week, however, limited connectivity was achieved in rats with broken spines, indicating that the next step should totally be Frankensteining people onto their ideal torsos.
