Disney’s D23 Begins With Star Wars Theme Park Hints

Yes, it’s time for Disney’s once-every-coupla years D23 convention which, while mostly geared specifically towards Disney geeks, has become the center of wider attention since the company bought first Marvel, then Lucasfilm. Last time around, we learned the subjects of Pixar’s next two original films, and got to hear “I have an army” “We have a Hulk” for the first time.
Though I will be otherwise occupied this weekend, Melissa Molina is covering D23 for TR starting today – stay tuned to our Twitter feed for the latest bite-sized updates from her on the scene; Monday’s Daily List will sum up the highlights and lowlights in a more comprehensive fashion
And there’s already some news, albeit the vaguest kind – a whole bunch of mysterious outer space crates at the Disney Parks & Resorts Pavilion. The good folks at InsideTheMagic.net had a chance to ask one of the Imagineers what the deal was…his answers are captured on video after the jump.
