The Millennium Falcon to Fly Once More?

MillenniumFalcon.jpg

Well duh. I can’t think of a better way to end your TR reading day than with a good old-fashioned unsubstantiated Star Wars rumor. So how about this one: the Millennium Falcon will return in Star Wars: Episode VII. At least that’s what Latino Review is saying:

I’ve been told that the Millennium Falcon has been built…Here is what my source just told me after reading what the trade had to say.

All of post-production and re-shoots are to work around Abrams and Actors schedules. 90% of shooting in London. Also they are building the Millennium Falcon on at Pinewood. Interior is done.

Now I’m going to give this post the “Things That Are Not News” tag because the appearance of the Falcon was pretty much a given. If Luke, Leia, Han and the droids were back, there’s no reason why the Star Wars saga’s most identifiable spaceship wouldn’t be as well. I’m posting this mainly to illustrate a point, right now is the calm before the storm. Production is going to have to ramp up crazy soon If there’s any chance of Episode VII actually making its 2015 release date. So it’s extremely likely we will have casting information and possibly some plot tidbits by the end of the year. But right now, it’s a news drought. So enjoy these non-stories while you can, because things are going to get wild soon enough. In fact, let me announce exclusively that the new Star Wars films will also include lightsabers, robots, aliens, The Force, good guys, bad guys, shoes, hair, right angles and starships.
