Game of Thrones Homage on…Nick Jr.?

Though aimed at kids, Nick Jr.’s Little Kingdom has had references to please parents before, like a tribute to the 1966 Batman TV show and Thunderbirds. But a medieval show full of casual murder, incest and violence against children somehow seems a little bit beyond all that. Though this is probably more aimed at luring parents into thinking they can like what their kid watches, you have to wonder – if Game of Thrones is an appropriate reference in a kiddie show, what would it take to constitute an inappropriate one? I Spit on Your Grave?
