Surprising SNL Greatness: Wes Anderson Horror; Killam Does X-Men

Saturday Night Live is hit and miss at best, but when it hits even moderately, it captures the pop-culture zeitgeist. I don’t know if something as anally specific as a Wes Anderson spoof will catch on with the general viewing public – but if you’re remotely familiar with the director’s unique oeuvre, you’ll appreciate how dead-on this parody of a hypothetical horror film in that vein is.

It’s after the jump…as is a pretty funny video of SNL‘s Taran Killam re-capping the debut episode of the X-Men animated series, doing every voice himself.
