Rrrrow! Joss Whedon Kinda Disses Bryan Singer’s Take on Quicksilver.

There’s a chance we’re reading too much into this recent quote from Mr. Whedon, about Quicksilver in Age of Ultron. But if I were Bryan Singer, I know how I’d be taking it.
“When we’re at speed with him, we’re going fast, we’re going slow, it’s not like we’re trying to do some enormous slow guy set-piece, it’s just something we never had license to do in the first movie. I never want to get so stylistically arch that you’re pulled out of what you’re seeing, but at the same time, I wanted to shoot something that was some kind of poetic and strange.”
Considering how super-diplomatic he usually is about everything, this is a bit of an anomaly.
I guess my questions are these:
1. Was the Quicksilver sequence in Days of Future Past “so stylistically arch that you’re pulled out of what you’re seeing”?
2. If that isn’t what he’s referring to, what other “enormous slow guy set-piece” could he mean?
