Another Peek Inside Arkham Asylum

Looking forward to the Batman: Arkham Asylum game? Yeah, me too. This new video shows a heck of a lot more environments, plus a lot of the stealth gameplay which makes this Bat-title so unique. Although it got me thinking: shouldn’t Batman just nuke Arkham? I know it’s not his style, but seriously — taking out all those supervillains and their thugs in one blow would like reduce the crime/murder rate in Gotham by about 50 percent. Who’s with me? Besides, you know, Azrael.

Yes, Doomsday Is Probably in Batman v. Superman

Bleeding Cool got this whole discussion started anew today citing a source that supposedly saw production designs for everyone’s favorite knuckle-boned Superman killer. Now, Bleeding Cool’s overall policy on rumors tends to be one of throwing everything to the wall to see what sticks, but I have a few sources of my own, and what I’m hearing is that this is legit info. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s in the final film, considering that they seem to have changed direction a few times…but I’m fairly certain he’s been featured in at least one planned iteration of it. Even the Man of Steel Blu-ray hints at it.

I’m a fan of the character’s official origin, as a clone of a clone of a clone (ad infinitum) of a baby that died on the harsh surface of ancient Krypton, boosting his immunity at every stage of the process…but based on what we know of Batman v. Superman, I doubt we’ll be seeing that. Rather, it’ll probably be “blah blah blah Lexcorp blah blah blah Codex blah blah.”

But it can’t be worse than on Smallville…right?

Here Is a Trailer for the Motion Picture Kick-Ass, My Friends

New plan: make the most straight-forward titles possible in regards to the Kick-Ass movie, to avoid all implication and temptation to call any aspect of it “kick ass.” As for the teaser trailer, it looks sharp — maybe you guys who have read the whole series can back me up, but from the little I’ve seen of Mark Millar’s comic, this thing looks like a color photocopy. This thing may be the most authentic-to-the-original comic book movie ever made, which is kind of cool. Also cool? That this movie has Nicholas Cage in it, and they don’t even let him speak in the trailer; they could easily try to trade on his star power (regardless of how you feel about him, he’s certainly a movie star) but nope, they’re hawking the comic and that’s it. Nice.

Gotham SPOILER Thread – Ednygmatic

I kinda love that Nygma’s “cool” mirror alter-ego is a dudebrah Keanu type. Very Nutty Professor, minus PG safety net.

Along with Penguin, he’s the show’s MVP. Meanwhile, I guess Gordon and Thompkins hooked up in real life.
