? Above is a trailer for the French Metal Hurlant TV series, based on the magazine we know as Heavy Metal. It does not look particularly good. Oh well. (Via Nerd Bastards)
? J.J. Abrams and Fringe showrunner J.H. Wyman have pitched and Fox has bought a show  about two cops, one human and the other a robot. I am immensely sad and bitter that the series isn’t based on Isaac Asmiov’s R. Daneel Olivaw book series, which is about this exact same thing. Dammit. (Via Deadline)
? I forgot to include this in yesterday’s STYNK but Jim Carrey has joined Kick-Ass 2 in the role of Colonel Stars. This blows my mind for reasons I can’t quite articulate. (Via Coming Soon)
? Rumor has it The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray will include a director’s cut. I don’t know how I feel about that. Sure, there were more than a few plot holes that could use filling, but the movie was already ridiculously long. I think I’d prefer the holes. (Via /Film)
? George R.R. Martin says that Mance Rayder is old — about as old as Qhorin Halfhands — so the casting of Ciarin Hinds as Mance in Game of Thrones is actually quite accurate. He also says: “Sooner or later, they [the TV series]will have to deal with Rhaegar and Lyanna and the Mad King.” This makes me extremely excited, although I don’t know why. They were obviously going to have to deal with them eventually. I guess just hearing GRRM say it aloud makes it more real or something. (Via Blastr)
