D.C. Going For Sloppy Seconds of Murder, Batman Makes Out his Bucket List
Fresh off the news that D.C. Comics (short for Detective Comic Comics) had its ass handed to it by Marvel in 2007, some rumors are circulating about D.C.’s next stunt to draw readers…and it shouldn’t shock anyone who’s got more than three firing synapses in their brains. So say the best-selling comics of 2007 was the death of Captain America, one of Marvel’s best-known and loved characters, a man whose power is mainly being at the peak of physical and mental health, and who protects the weak and innocent. What might D.C. do?
Yes, dear readers: D.C. is rumored to be planning to kill Batman, one of D.C.’s best-known and loved characters, a man whose power is mainly being at the peak of physical and mental health, and who protects the weak and innocent.
This is so obviously sloppy seconds at Captain America’s death that it’s pitiful; the crassness and sheer lack of creativity necessary to pull this off would be astounding. Moreso because no one really gives a shit about Captain America’s alter-ego, Steve Rogers, so that there’s a theoretical chance he might actually stay dead (he won’t, but it is technically plausible). There’s no fucking way in hell D.C. kills Batman and Bruce Wayne stays dead. None at all. (Via Times Online)
