Weta to Make ‘Justice League’ Costumes, Comic Nerds Explode in Pure Joy
Thousands of comic fans died yesterday as a result of orgasm-induced hemorrhaging when it was revealed that the Weta Workshop?the nerd-kings responsible for the special effects in the Lord of the Rings films?are making the superhero costumes for the upcoming Justice League movie. That should include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, the Flash and the Martian Manhunter at the minimum, with possibly a Hawkman or a Hawkgirl (generally some kind of Hawk-person) in there too.
Paramedics saved some lives by reminding comic fans that this no guarantee the Justice League movie will get made, as Weta has also done designs for the live-action Evangelion flick, which will almost certainly never get made. They also reminded fans that one of the Justice League‘s main villains is Starro, a giant starfish, so maybe they shouldn’t get their hopes up. ? Rob.
