Heroic Hulk Tries to Put a Stop to Wolverine’s Endless, Egomaniacal Monologues

Apparently yet another Marvel straight-to-DVD animated movie was announced at the NY Licensing Show?Hulk Vs., which is actually two short movies of Hulk fighting Thor and Wolverine. From the press release:

HULK VS THOR ? It’s gods versus monsters in this epic 45 minute movie! Never have we explored the explosive power of the Hulk like we have in this new film, every major character from the Marvel Thor universe is thrust into battle with this Green Goliath as he brings a new Ragnarok down upon the realm of gods.

HULK VS WOLVERINE – This dark, violent, smash and slash story was first told in issue 181 of THE INCREDIBLE HULK and the rematches have continued to thrill comic fans ever since. Now Marvel and Lionsgate takes the best of those famous comic book battles and merges them into one heart pounding 33-minute story.

I wish Marvel would find a better animation studio for these things so they didn’t look quite so much like X-Men Evolution (I don’t really know how Batman: Gotham Knight will turn out, but I know most anime studios could use the money) and more like the direct-to-collector flicks they’re supposed to be. But still, I’ll watch anything where the Hulk beats the shit out of Wolverine while he tries to rundown all his catchphrases. I suppose it’s too much to ask that Hulk Vs. features that very special moment from Ultimate Hulk Vs. Wolverine, but I’m going to start my letter-writing campaign later today. (Via Action-Figure)
