Nintendo Videogame Trifecta: Wario, Buffy, Punch-Out

? The only Wario games I’ve played are of the “Mega Microgames” variety. Warioland: Shake It is not of that variety?it’s a platform game, and about the best animated one I’ve ever seen. It’s needlessly good-looking. What gives?

? Although Nintendo won’t be making the game, Kotaku reports that Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be heading to their rather popular Nintendo DS. They sum it up best:

All of the fan-favorites will be represented – Spike, Angel, the Master, the First Evil, and generic vampire number 23. With 24 levels, 12 bosses, more than 20 different slayer weapons and collectible spells to enhance Buffy’s powers and abilities, it sounds like Sacrifice will be a real treat for fans of the show who just can’t let sleeping slayers lie.

I have no problem with any of this.

? At last but certainly not least, there are rumors that Punch-Out?better known as Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out until Tyson began his quest to be the most nightmarish terrifying person in America?might be coming to the Wii. I’d admittedly trade Buffy for a chance to beat the shit out of Kaiser Joe again.
