District 9 Is a Nice Place to Visit, But You Wouldn’t Want to Live There
And that’s because it’s basically an internment camp for aliens. District 9 is the first film by Peter Jackson’s buddy Neil Blomkamp, and I must say it’s looking pretty interesting — a somber premise, and some very nice-looking effects, courtesy of Weta, I assume. Now, in order to keep the aliens in District 9, I’m going to assume their big-ass spaceship is out of fuel and can’t leave earth. But I don’t know why they wouldn’t live on the ship instead of getting marched into a slum. Still, it’s nice to see all of humanity agreeing on one thing — hating the really different people.
