Speaking of Awesome New TV Series with Great Casts…

I really thought V was going to pull solitary duty in this category today, but then I finally saw the trailer for Human Target, the upcoming Fox series based on the DC/Vertigo comic about a guy who hires himself out as a bodyguard/target to keep his clients safe. I didn’t know much about the comic, but the trailer looks great — not least of all because it stars Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach from Watchmen) and Chi McBride (Pushing Daisies) as co-stars, Battlestar Galactica‘s Tricia Helfer as the client (in the pilot, at least), and Mark Valley as the lead. I love Mark Valley; he was great in Fringe Dollhouse, and he was likewise great in Boston Legal; he’s deserved a smart, funny action-adventure show for years, and by gum, now he’s actually got one. Of course, since Human Target is a Fox show, I think we can safely assume that if the show does end up being any good, it’ll be canceled after four episodes.
