E3 Nintendo Trifecta: Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, New Super Mario Bros. Wii
? Hey, Nintendo is actually making a sequel to a Mario flagship title. Wacky. Super Mario Galaxy was the last thing I played on the Wii, so I’d probably get this… if it weren’t for New Super Mario Bros. below.
? Nintendo has handed the Metroid franchise to Team Ninja, the ex-Tecmo guys responsible for Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. This is such a great idea it makes me a little dizzy; I wish Nintendo would do this with some of its other properties, like Zelda (or at least Kid Icarus. Goddammit, I want a new Kid Icarus). Watch and get a new pair of pants ready.
? This is a new, 2D Super Mario Bros game. As you can see, it features simultaneous 4-player. It is going to sell a million, bajillion copies and make Nintendo so much money they may actually drown in it. Well done, Nintendo. Well done indeed.
