Castlevania Movie to Be Directed by New Miserable Little Pile of Secrets

/Film says that James Wan is in final talks to direct a Castlevania movie, making him the (13th? 15th?) newest director who’s been attached to this particular project. As much as I love Castlevania, I’m kind of hoping this one doesn’t work out either, because practically the only thing Wan has directed is the original Saw, which doesn’t give me much hope for his Castlevania. On the other hand, the longer Castlevania lurches around Hollywood, the less its chances of even being half-way decent are, so maybe I’d better hope Wan sticks around. In two more years it’ll be guy who directed Saw VI and starring Chris Klein as Simon Belmont. Or maybe it should just not get made at all.
