Ang Lee Made a Giant Hulk Robot
Before Ang Lee made the weird, shockingly light-on-smashing movie we’ve come to call Hulk, he tried to decide whether to have an all CG Hulk, or a giant robot one. He end up with the CG one, of course, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have a giant robot Hulk built and tested.
This amazing behind-the-scenes video comes from Steve Johnson, who also revealed those insanely awful Tim Burton Superman suits. I’m comfortable in calling the man a National Nerd Treasure at this point. Also, how much more awesome would have the Hulk movie been if it had starred a giant robot? Okay, not much, probably, but wouldn’t it have just been pleasant to know a giant Hulk robot was out there? (Via Comics Alliance)
