I Want to Go to There
Specifically, I want to go to this Indianapolis Mall in 1986 and its incredibly fucking awesome Masters of the Universe toy display/event/thing. If I had seen it when I was 9, I would have lost my mind. I’m kind of losing my mind now, actually — the whole set is incredible, the toy reveals are great, the fact that live-action He-Man and Skeletor show up in-scale for a sword fight at the end is amazing — I’m not even upset that the cameraman seems to be having a seizure for a full two minutes in the middle and is unable to capture a single toy on film.
I try not to be one of those guys who talks about how much better it was in the old days — for fuck’s sake, look at 2011’s movie line-up for proof of that — but this is one thing the old days definitely did better. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to play with my Masters of the Universe figures for the next two hours. (Via Poe Ghostal)
