Ico Ready to Traumatize/Delight Me Yet Again
Kotaku has a new trailer for the upcoming HD version of Ico, which will be packaged with a similarly HD Shadow of the Colossus, and released in America this September. Ico is absolutely one of my favorite games I’ve ever played, and one of the games I invariably bring up when the games-as-art conversation comes up because of the visceral emotional response it creates purely through a simple game mechanic and a bit of character animation. It’s also a damned fine puzzle game, with an interesting twist. I could go on and on about its awesomeness, but instead I’m just going to watch the video again and count the days until September.
