Super Terrific Japanese Thing: Mosdo!

There’s a fast food burger chain in Japan called Mos Burger, which is fucking delicious. There’s also a donut chain called Mister Donut, which not only has an awesome name but is also very tasty (it’s akin to Dunkin’ Donuts, although the donuts are generally lighter and non-cake-y). The two chains have decided to try to work together and open a specific joint chain called Mosdo! is a few select locations. But this isn’t just like those combination Taco Bell and Pizza Huts you see in America. Well, it is, but they also offer these:

The Donut Burger is for all intents a purposes a regular burger where the patty is simply shaped like a donut. The light green you see in the “donut hole” is wasabi mayonnaise, which I find delicious when lightly applied and not taking up a full cubic inch of space. The Burger Donut is more complicated; the buns are hole-less donuts, the patties are chocolate rice puffs, and the tomato and lettuce are whipped cream with strawberry sauce and whipped cream with green tea sauce, respectively. The Burger Donut also comes with “potedos” — i.e., french fry-shaped donut sticks, which sounds like the greatest thing ever. When I was a real nerd journalist instead of a fake blogging one, I went to Japan 10 times to do reports and cover various events and things. I have never missed being there more than I do right now.
