Movie News Trifecta: Avengers, Judge Dredd, Beetlejuice 2

? Apparently when Joss Whedon assembled his first version of the Avengers movie, it clocked in at nearly three full hours. You know what that means? THERE’S 30 FULL MINUTES OF AVENGERS WE HAVEN’T SEEN YET. God, I hope the scenes aren’t just included as extras, but there’s an option to watch a full director’s cut on the Blu-ray. Note to Disney/Marvel: I’m willing to pony up an absurd amount for that option. Just sayin’. (Via Nerd Bastards)

? The first pic of Lena Headley as Judge Dredd villainess Madeline ‘Ma-Ma’ Madrigal has surfaced. She has a little something on her face. For the record, she’s getting overshadowed by Peter Dinklage, but I think Headley is just killing it as Cersei on Game of Thrones. As awful or crazy as she may get, she just radiates her damage, clearly indicating how and why she lashes out. I’m sympathizing with TV show Cersei even more than book Cersei. (Via Collider)

? Johnny Depp will, of course, be in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice sequel. The good news is that he won’t be playing Beetlejuice, but the head of the new family that moves into the house. This is honestly as much as we could have hoped for. (Via Blastr)
