E3 Trifecta 3: Retro City Rampage, Last of Us, Quantum Conundrum

? Retro City Rampage should be retitled 8-bit Videogames: The Videogame. Seriously, watch this trailer — it’s going to look like a top-down shooter/mayhem simulator for a bit, then the references to classic NES games come… and never stop coming. It’s absolutely delightful.

? Last of Us is basically Uncharted on crack, which makes sense, as it’s by Naughty Dog. If you watch this gameplay trailer, you’re going to think it’s Uncharted not on crack at all, just a bit prettier, and then things start happening that never happened in Uncharted — obviously randomly occurring events, incredibly detailed circumstance-driven dialogue, enemy and partner actions and reactions based on incredibly specific events… it gets pretty amazing. On the other hand, you do murder a shit-ton of people like in Uncharted, so I’m assuming this dude’s name is Ethan Drake until informed otherwise.
? This Quantum Conundrum trailer is far less clever than the last one I posted, but it does show a lot more gameplay. Plus, it turns out John “Q” de Lancie is voicing the scientist Professor Fitzwrangle, so that’s another reason to check it out.
