GIVEAWAY: Geek Dad, Law and Physics of Superheroes Books

Although every day is Geek Pride Day here at TR, except maybe Friday with its historical connection to Geek Shame, May 25th was designated official Geek Pride Day by somebody or other due to its being not only the original release date of Star Wars, but also Towel Day to fans of Douglas Adams.

In belated celebration, Penguin is offering one lucky reader three particularly geeky tomes from their roster. GEEK DAD: Awesomely Geeky Projects and Activities for Dads and Kids to Share is exactly what it sounds like, while The Law of Superheroes and The Physics of Superheroes attempt to quantify the fantastic with real-world rules. How high can the Hulk jump? Is Superman an illegal alien, and how would you deport him? These are the kinds of nerdy questions that such books exist to answer and fuel debate upon.

The question you must answer to enter this contest is an obvious one: what is the geekiest thing your dad ever did? (It does not have to be a true story; it just has to sound like one.) Or, if you are a parent and you’d prefer to answer this one, what’s the geekiest thing you ever did for your kid?

Answer in comments below. Contest closes Friday, May 31st at 4 p.m. Pacific Time – the last post of the week prior to the weekend open thread will announce the winner. There is just one prize of all three books.
