Now We See How the Peanuts Movie Incorporates the Original Drawings
Quite literally and cleverly, it turns out.
The rest of the trailer reveals A LOT of key bits, and relies on a weird mix of music that I hope (and think) is mostly temp for the trailer. Looks like the plot centers on that little red-headed girl moving to the neighborhood, and Charlie Brown’s awkward attempts to talk to her.
This being a movie, he probably will at some point. But I don’t know: should he? How do you do a feature narrative that solves one of Chuck’s major dilemmas yet keeps him the perennial underdog that he has to be? I’m sure somebody got paid more than five cents to answer that question, so I hope they found a good one.
